oakland road we have another accident moved to the right-hand shoulder. it is a little bit slow beyond the seen as they move that from lane two to the right-hand shoulder. elsewhere we have a problem northbound 880 on the shoulder now cleared so that accident is looking good through fremont and getting busy on the east shore freeway moving to richmond and to the berkeley area and macarthur maze. kristen and eric? >> we follow breaking news from london where a helicopter crash in the middle of the city killed two people and injured 13. the two dead, one the pilot, the other is someone on the ground, it happened during the morning rush hour at midnight our time. the helicopter hit a crane on top of a high-rise building. they are working to secure the crane. there is no immediate danger of collapse. no word on the exact cause. it could take months to sort out. there are low clouds and fog. authorities say it was shrouding the tower. the pilot was diverting a landing because of bad weather and that terrorism does not appear to be likely. >> now, japan has grounded the entire fleet of boein

. kristen and eric? >> we start 6:00 with developing news from the abc7 at 11. right knew, oakland police are still surrounding a neighborhood after someone opened fire and wounded an undercover officer. amy joins us live with the search underway. amy? >> this is still in sign of the two men they are looking for. look behind me, the swat team is still engaged in this case with a section of seminary blocked off. you can see the swat vehicle located in the middle of the street. no one is being allowed in or out without a police escort. the officers approve who gets in or out. we were overhead when police say an officer was shot at 6:30. he was working undercover vetting another shooting when he was confronted by three armed men. police say he was shot in the arm. they were able to arrest one suspect. the other two suspects got away. police are still looking on them but they need help. >> we want to ask the community to continue to be vigilant. please contact the oakland police department nonemergency number reporting suspicious activists involving two individuals from the area. >> the chief

bay. an all-night search continues for two suspects who shot an undercover police officer in oakland. police say the officer was doing an investigation on seminary avenue a few blocks away from the oakland coliseum. that's when three armed men confronted him and shot him in the arm. the suspects took off. officers locked down that neighborhood and launched a full scale intensive search both on the ground and in the air. police were able to catch one of these suspects but two others are still on the run today. the injured officer is being treated at a local hospital and he is expected to recover. we're waiting to hear more from police this morning. we'll bring you the latest information just as soon as we get it. >>> this attack comes hours before the oakland city council is set to vote on a controversial plan to deal with violence in the city. the police chief and the mayor want to spend $250,000 to hire former new york and l.a. police chief big bratton as a consultant to help reduce violent crime. bratton is a controversial pick because of his support for stop and frisk police tacti

the body was pulled last night around 8:00. breaking news from oakland where crews are mopping up after a house fire. it started at 9:00 this morning. we were overhead as flames burned through the roof. thick smoke could be seen for quite a distance. it took an hour to knock the fire down. investigators are looking into a suspicious fire that destroyed an abandoned pier this morning with crews responding in crockett near jackson avenue near the c&h sugar plant at 3:45 the firefighters let the fire bun itself out. a crew fought from the water. here is the pier before it burned. it is suspicious because there is no electrical wiring on the pier. >> santa clara sheriff is investigating a fatal accident in cupertino when a woman was killed. the woman was walking and hit by a big rig after 7:00 near cupertino road. no word on the identity of the woman or if the truck driver will face charges. >> we have new details on a tanker that hit the bay bridge. the pilot made a last-minute turn before passing under the bridge. our media partner reported the pilot planned to follow the yellow line but

that the lone female defendant gave people associated with an oakland gang information that ultimately led to this home invasion and murder. 24-year-old raven dixon is behind bars. she also faces a gang enhancement. the chronicle is reports that she worked as a prostitute for kumar and passed along information about the mansion, including the lateout. coincidently, the oakland police chief said that is the same group involved in a gang war. the chronicle sources say shows people hatched a plan to invade the estate. the district attorney's office have charged three others with kumer's murder. his home was broken into last november while he and his wife were home. kumar's body was found inside but the police won't say how he was killed. the court had documents sealed because police requested it saying it would hamper the investigation. law enforcement is discussing when to reveal any more information on the case. word is that may happen soon. i spoke on the phone with dixon's attorney and he says this latest development comes as a surprise. he says his client never revealed that she had any

this morning, an update to a story we have been following in the east bay. the oakland zoo says the alligator that was found just yesterday guarding a stash of pot inside a castro valley home has died. alameda county sheriff's deputies found the gator named mr. teeth when doing a routine probation check. it was in a tank, apparently guarding 34 pounds of dried marijuana. the gator was taken to the oakland zoo where it was placed in quarantine after its owner said it was very sick. that owner is now in jail. >>> some relief for a hayward mother whose daughter was kidnapped in 1998 and never seen again. a bone fragment found in a well in linden does not match michaele garecht's dna. the well is believed to be a dumping ground for the so-called speed freak killers. in a blog post, garecht says she's disappointed there's still no answer what happened to michaela but goes on to say, quote, the feeling i felt was a sense of relief. >>> san francisco police are hoping surveillance video will help them catch a suspected killer. police say this video right here shows a clean-shaven man with long hair
